Meet the KDS Team
Chief Executive Officer
Mark Davis has over 15 years’ experience in the K-12 space, most recently serving as Executive Director for Computers for Youth (CFY), where he was responsible for establishing new partnerships as well as increasing the organization’s visibility to key funders. Prior to CFY, he served for more than a decade in leadership roles at Kaplan K-12 Learning Services including General Manager. As VP, K-12 Partnerships at KDS, Mark partners with districts in order to develop solutions that tackle their greatest challenges and build a system of support for teachers that transforms classroom practice. He holds a BA in Political Science and a Dual Concentration (Minor) in Education and Business Administration from UCLA.
Vice President, Product Development
Jack develops innovative solutions and products that support the vision of effective professional development. He began his career as a science teacher and technology coordinator at Morristown Beard School before becoming producer and product manager at Sunburst Technology. Prior to joining Knowledge Delivery Systems in 2011, Jack worked at Schoolnet (now a Pearson company), where he held roles as Director of Marketing, Director of Product Management, and Senior Product Manager-Assessment Solutions. Prior to Schoolnet, Jack was Senior Product Manager, Individualized Instruction in McGraw-Hill’s School Education Group, He holds an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University in Instructional Technology and Media and a B.A. from Gettysburg College.
Vice President, Learning Design & Development
Anne Kaplan leads the design and development of Knowledge Delivery Systems’ professional development content, managing a team of video producers & editors, subject matter experts, writers, interactive designers and content developers. She collaborates with KDS leaders and teams as well as external partners to deliver the highest quality courses and learning experiences for educators. Prior to joining KDS, Anne was Director of Video Operations at Vital Source Media, where she led the production of high-quality professional development videos for a wide range of educational clients in both the for-profit and non-profit worlds. Anne has also worked as a project manager for Educational Outreach for public television programs. She began her career working in independent film production, working with noted Director Robert Altman. Her video work has won nine Telly Awards, a Bessie Award, and a MITX nomination. Anne holds a B.A. in English from Kenyon College and an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Vice President, Implementation
Erin Walker has nearly 20 years of experience in education—including program management, implementation, curriculum planning, blended learning models, and teacher and instructional leader professional development. As VP, Implementation at KDS, she drives the full implementation lifecycle—and manages, designs, and delivers effective PD programs in school districts. Most recently, Erin served as Managing Director of the digital learning program at CFY, a New York-based non-profit, where she led program implementation across more than 70 schools in four large, urban districts. She has held positions at the NYC Department of Education, Kaplan K-12 Learning Services, and Teachscape, where she led company-wide service delivery, helping districts and states systematically improve teacher effectiveness. She began her career as a special education classroom teacher and technology coordinator in Washington DC. Erin holds a B.A. in Human Services and a master’s degree in Transition Special Education, both from The George Washington University.
Vice President, Technology
A skilled IT leader with over 20 years of experience across development, internal IT, consulting, operational, and technical service organizations, Art has worked at firms ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, building and leading teams, streamlining operational practices, innovating technology solutions, and managing product lines and service offerings. He has held positions at UPS, Andersen Consulting, Oracle, Concur and Defran/Netsmart. Art holds a B.S. and M.B.A from New York University.
Director, National Sales
As National Sales Director, Eldred Ellis manages sales for large urban school districts and assists other Regional Sales Reps in developing sales activities in their territories. Eldred has more than 30 years of experience in sales, client-relationship management, and organizational effectiveness and has spent the majority of his career in the education sector—publishing and software. He has held positions at Schoolnet, MacMillan/McGraw-Hill and Modern Curriculum Press/Globe Book Company. Eldred has a B.A. in History and Political Science from Howard University. He is fluent in Japanese and German.
